Big Thief have announced a large number of European shows for 2026, coming after their forthcoming album, Double Infinity, is released – that’s this Friday, September 5th.
The band’s initial London dates since 2023 will be three nights at O2 Academy Brixton, April 23rd, 24th, and 25th, as part of the ‘Somersault Slide 360’ tour. Following the London gigs, they’re to play in Dublin, Manchester and Glasgow, before going on to continental Europe for more dates during the summer. Dylan Meek, Laraaji, and Ata Kak are supporting on the tour.
Double Infinity is Big Thief’s sixth studio album, and their first since Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You from 2022. Adrianne Lenker – one of three members of Big Thief with Buck Meek and James Krivchenia – put out her solo album, Bright Future, to very good reviews last year; and Krivchenia’s fourth solo album, Performing Belief, came out earlier in 2024.
UK Tickets for Big Thief are on sale now, via Ticketmaster. There is a pre-sale for all three London performances for O2 Priority cardholders on Monday, September 8th at 10 a.m. A pre-sale for the band’s UK and Ireland shows is also at that time, and you can register for it here.
