BBC Radio 1's premier music festival, Radio 1's Big Weekend, will once again descend for another unforgettable live celebration. Running across three days — from Friday, 22nd to Sunday to 24th May 2026 — it has consistently brought the biggest names in music together with emerging talents.
Radio 1’s flagship live music festival will take place in Herrington Country Park, Sunderland, from Friday 22 May to Sunday 24 May 2025, with over 100,000 music fans expected to attend the live music spectacular.
Tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be available in March and will cost around £33. Keep listening to BBC Radio 1 and download the BBC Sounds app for more information.
As with previous Big Weekends, tickets will be geographically weighted, with an element of preference given to local residents: 50 percent of tickets will be reserved for those living in Sunderland; 40 percent for those living in the surrounding areas; and the remaining 10 percent available for the rest of the UK.
Looking Back at the Successful Year of 2025
Aitch, AJ Tracey, Inhaler, Wolf Alice and more joined the star-studded line-up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2025, performing on Saturday 24 May. As announced in January, BRIT winner Sam Fender headlined the Main Stage, with Myles Smith and Blossoms also playing.
They joined huge acts already announced to perform on Friday 23 May, including Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro, Nia Archives, Confidence Man, Barry Can’t Swim, and many more.
2026 is set to be another incredible weekend: a three-day celebration with performances across four stages.
