Since 2016, the Noches del Botánico Festival has been one of the most well-known music festivals in Madrid's annual calendar. This festival takes place during the summer of the year, in June and July. It is organized every year in a venue that is pleasing to the esthetic vision: the setting of the Royal Botanic Garden Alfonso XIII, lying at the heart of the Complutense University of Madrid. This open arena gives an otherworldly feel with a marriage between music and nature so breathtakingly beautiful that each guest needs to behold.
This is a festival for eclectic tastes in music: the different types of musical categories range from pop, rock, and jazz to fusion, flamenco, and alternative music. Every year, international names that have set the standard join with those more at the start of their careers, offering something to all sorts of tastes but maintaining quality and artistic innovation at all times.
Besides the stellar performances, it offers so much more than music: a gastronomic offering carefully curated, carrying a variety of food and drink to suit all tastes; outdoor relaxation areas that let visitors take their ease between performances; and the Mercado del Encanto, a lively marketplace in which visitors will find unique, handmade goods and creations courtesy of local artisans and entrepreneurs, really giving another layer of cultural richness to the event.
It does not end there: the Noches del Botánico Festival is also quite special for the sensitive approach it adopts in regard to the viewers' choice of concert format. While high-energy performance can fully accommodate 3,500 people with a standing-floor option and be fully immersed in its energy, in concerts requiring intimacy or simply to make things easy, seating lowers the capacity to 2,000 people to ensure comfort and proximity to the artists.
