Sziget, the Island of Freedom unfolds as a week‑long celebration of music, art and community that draws, over +400 000 participants from than a hundred nations. It’s more than a festival—it’s a collision point for cultures a value living by and a place where everyone instantly feels they belong. For, than three decades Sziget has served as ground where self‑expression, acceptance and unity keep expanding seemingly forever.
Sziget stands out as one of Europe’s music and cultural celebrations. Each August it unfurls on the expanse of Óbudai‑sziget—literally "Old Buda Island”—a 108‑hectare ( 266 acre) green speck nestled in the Danube just north of Budapest, Hungary. The festival routinely hosts in excess of a hundreds performances. The forthcoming edition is pencilled in for August 11‑15 2026. While the lineup remains shrouded, in secrecy anticipation builds, so stay tuned for announcements.
