Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts to Headline Blenheim Palace

On‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Friday 3rd July Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts will bring the Love Earth World Tour to Blenheim Palace with the very special guest Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton. Young’s newest band — with Micah Nelson, Corey McCormick, Anthony LoGerfo and the legendary Spooner Oldham — has really been able to revive and reshape the energy of his concerts, mashing the splendid old hits with the newly released stuff from this era of his songwriting.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ tour is a manifestation of Neil Young’s pledge to keep the environment and support the less privileged through a collaboration with Farm Aid leading to the arrival of the HOMEGROWN Concessions at every show — serving food that is sourced sustainably from small family farms on plates and utensils that are compostable. Besides this, Young is bringing in new music, including his recently released single “Big Change”, which will let the fans know the creative direction of The Chrome Hearts.

During the European tour, the audience members have been fortunate to hear the different and unique live versions of the old-time favorites like “Southern Man”, “Cowgirl in the Sand” and “Don’t Cry No Tears” which are a combination of the past with new ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌life.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters are a rich musical counterpoint to the whole thing, with the voice of Costello being very distinctive and his lyrics being very sharp and the fourled harmony of Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher supporting him. The only further to the front of the stage and therefore more visible burst of light is due to the addition of the brilliant guitarist Charlie Sexton, who is famous for his collaboration with Bob Dylan, to their performances.

Therefore a couple of days off, which can be nicely spent e.g. at Blenheim Palace in the beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds, the trio of artists will offer you an evening of brilliant songwriting, mature musicianship and a seldom collaborative ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌magic.
