Warrington’s top indie rock and pop festival Neighbourhood Weekender returns May 2026.
With a unique community feel, Neighbourhood Weekender is the biggest indie festival in the North West, welcoming both big names and breakthrough new music acts and bands to its three stages.
Headliners and First Wave Line-Up
Taking place during the May bank holiday weekend, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, Neighbourhood Weekender has unveiled its first batch of artists for 2026. Headlining is not one but two legendary acts: James on Saturday and Stereophonics on Sunday.

Richard Ashcroft is a two-time Ivor Novello winner (Songwriter of the Year in 1998 and Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 2019) who has released five Top 5 solo albums, including the #1 debut ‘Alone With Everybody‘, and most recently last year his #2 album ‘Acoustic Hymns’.
He first came to attention with The Verve, with who he released one of the biggest albums of the era in the shape of ‘Urban Hymns‘ (the UK’s 18th biggest selling album of all-time) as well as a succession of anthems which remain staples of his live set today, including ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’, ‘Bittersweet Symphony’, ‘Lucky Man’ and ‘Sonnet’.
Following this summer’s tour with Oasis across the UK, Ireland and the US, Richard Ashcroft will release his brand new album ‘Lovin’ You’ on 10th October.
Joining him on the bill will be indie rock favourites Kaiser Chiefs, along with festival favourite The K’s, Example, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Cast, Alessi Rose, Cassia, Brooke Combe, Freddie Halkon, ARKAYLA, NXDIA, The Cheap Thrill,s Keyside, Esme Emerson, Ellur, and Fiona-Lee

Blossoms, the indie giants hailing from Stockport, have been confirmed by the Neighbourhood Weekender organisers as thousands look to descend on Victoria Park, Warrington on 23-24 May 2026 for an amazing weekdend.
Formed in 2013, Blossoms have become one of the UK’s hottest bands, known best for infectious indie-pop sounds and chart-topping albums.
The band’s 2016 self-titled debut skyrocketed to the top of the UK charts for two consecutive weeks, earning BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations. Blossoms’ momentum continued with albums Cool Like You, Foolish Loving Spaces and Ribbon Around The Bomb, marking chart-topping successes with recent standout tracks such as Ode To NYC and The Sulking Poet, both of which have been the soundtrack to many people’s summers.
Blossoms host Sunday with a powerhouse bill featuring DMA’s, Jamie Webster, Shed Seven, Razorlight, The Royston Clu,b Melanie C, The Fratellis, Luvcat, Keo, The Guest List, Westside Cowboy, The Covasettes, Brogeal, Villanelle, Fletchr Fletchr, and fliss.
